Chronic pelvic pain is in one word: Debilitating.

It’s been described to us as the worst burning, searing pain that anyone could imagine but it doesn’t stop–ever. Some women have a fear of urination or drinking as it often brings bouts of pain and despair.

Our patients have traveled the state and beyond to seek answers as to what is the source of the pain only to be to told by high level specialist they either see no source of the pain or they have done their best to treat them. Sometimes it’s a surgery that triggers the pain and sometimes it’s a series of infections that starts the problem or sometimes its a series of traumatic life events.

Our patients have had the injections, the hormone treatments, the layering of medications upon medications, the exploratory surgeries, the countless OBGYN visits, visits to the ER, and trips to top specialists in their respective fields. We hear this story and hopefully we have the solution to your pain.

Chinese medicine as it’s practiced at Catch a Fish Wellness is not something that takes years to work as you’ll feel the results with in the first 2 weeks if this is the right therapy for your body.  For patients that respond well the reduction in Pelvic Pain is sometimes so dramatic it bring about tears of relief.  Depending on how far off harmony your body is (through the lens of Chinese Medicine) will determine how long the treatment will take for permanent results.

The main thing to know about acupuncture is that if you are a good candidate for acupuncture it’s highly effective on ANY pain syndrome no matter the location or how long you’ve had it. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine give the gift of reducing inflammation fast and increasing blood flow to heal injured areas. Thus, the type of pain a patient has is not the determinate of will acupuncture help…it’s more a question of is the patient a good candidate for acupuncture.

Here are some Chronic Pelvic Pain Diagnosis we help:

Pain Level #8-10: “Jenny” came to us after a year of excruciating pelvic pain that they described as a constant pain level ranging from #8-10 (0 being no pain and 10 being the worst pain of your life).  The pain was brought on after a Supracervical (also called subtotal or partial) hysterectomy.  The pain started out gradual and the surgeon stated it was just the body healing from the surgery.  After a few weeks and then a few months  the pain gradually built up in intensity causing Jenny to became alarmed.  Every check up the surgeon reported Jenny was improving and they could not see the cause of the pain. After seeking help from specialists around the area and outside of the state without hope in sight Jenny grew more and more depressed as the pain grew and the pain meds increased to the point she was in bed for days at a time.  Jenny decided to try Catch a Fish Acupuncture to see if any relief could happen.

Pain Level #4-6: “Brenda” came to us after several years of chronic vaginal and bladder pain.  She described the pain as a bearing down pressure that burned like a hot iron all day long.  Before the pain Brenda was very active socially and loved to play tennis.  She described the impact of this pain as destroying her life and her relationships with those closest to her. Brenda’s pain started out gradual after a series of surgeries to correct a prolapsed uterus and bladder. In her search for answers she tried numerous treatments and therapies including: Physical Therapy, Muscle Relaxers, Pain Killers, and countless specialist to find an answer to her pain. Brenda heard about Catch a Fish Wellness from a google search and decided to give us a try.
